FORGE.motion
A collection of reusable Framer Motion patterns, transitions, and interaction primitives for production use.

FORGE.motion is a collection of production-ready animation primitives, transitions, and interaction patterns built with Framer Motion. The library captures common motion patterns - entrances, exits, micro-interactions, and scroll-triggered animations - as composable, customisable building blocks for frontend teams.
Animation in production environments is frequently rushed, inconsistent, or entirely absent. Teams either use generic library defaults or spend significant time building custom solutions that are uncopyable and unmaintained. FORGE.motion explores a middle path: opinionated, high-quality motion defaults that teams can adopt, adapt, and own.
Motion in FORGE.motion is grounded in physical principles: inertia, weight, and easing curves that correspond to how objects move in the real world. The library's defaults produce motion that feels considered and premium without being ostentatious.
An actively developed open source library within the FORGE ecosystem.
- 01
Motion design benefits enormously from physical reference. Easing curves drawn from physics produce more satisfying animation than curves drawn from design intuition alone.
- 02
Composable motion primitives allow teams to build consistent animation languages without centralised enforcement.
- 03
The best motion is invisible - it enhances experience without calling attention to itself.
